I have noticed there is a lot of confusion about how this course works and what exactly is the Mind Lab. Here is a simple explanation.
Mind Lab is the name given to the environment we have created in the cellar. You can see its pictures here
Mind Lab aims at letting the child’s mind be free even if it is for one or two periods a week. The child when he has a Mind Lab class comes to the Mind Lab and explores the facilities there.
The facilities/faculties of mind available at Mind Lab are: Reading Library, Board Games, Drawings/painting, Computers. The child is free to choose amongst all these activities and can spend his time as per his wish.
The Mind Lab also helps catalyze certain true and rare talents of children. For example one of our students is great at mirror writing (i.e. writing the letters as they can be seen in a mirror). We helped her find out how she can enhance that skill. We found out what are the world records in the same, what feats others have achieved in the same, etc.
Mind Lab is for all students from std 1-9 in English Medium and std 5-9 in Gujarati Medium
Lateral Thinking, a formal course by Dr. De Bono aimed at expanding the horizons of a child’s thinking runs in the Mind Lab for stds 5-9 (EM). Each class here has two periods a week for Lateral Thinking over and above the Mind Lab period.
The Lateral Thinking course involves various tools like PMI and C&S, etc. through which our kids learn to think. To know more about this course and why is it so necessary click here.

How much I am missing Lateral Thinking Sessions
MISSING LATERAL THINKING LECTURES
Hello, Respected Teachers & Dear Friends,
Here is Kavisha Bhatt standing before you to share my feelings about how much I am missing the Lateral thinking Lectures. Initially this would appear weird but this very subject that has taught us the importance of setting priorities in our life and being in std. X we are supposed to keep ourselves busy in academics to get best results.
In spite of the hard effort to find out a single negative point, I failed and landed in reaching the following positive issues like :
? Our arguments have converted into fruitful discussions.
? Working in group has strengthened our Team Spirit
? As mentioned earlier, we have learnt how to set the priorities of various activities in our life.
? We are transformed into better Speakers and patient Listeners
? We have learnt to respect every ones views
? We have also known during Brain Storming Exercises how to make best use of various useful tools available to us in our life.
? Awareness of Where do we stand has been created clearly in our mind in terms of thinking.
? We have acquired the technique of expressing Big Statements in form of Symbols, which has made our presentations easy and clear.
? “No idea is incorrect” – This concept has made us absolutely Optimistic in our life.
I am proud to be a part of this Institute and thankful to Leena Maam for conducting Lateral Thinking Lectures.
I am honoured of having this opportunity of sharing my thoughts with you all. Thanks for tolerating me for some time in this pleasant morning. Please be frank with me to give me your honest Feed Back, which will help me in further improving my Lateral Thinking Process.
Have a nice day.
I think that the basic details are already on our site. As of now we can only give this much to you. If you see us personally after an appointment we would be glad to take you to the mind lab and solve all your queries!
