Teacher’s Day celebration was Rocking as usual in Devashish Eng.Med.!! Every teacher was gifted with the portrait or a caricature of himself or herself with Leena Ma’am giving a murderous catch line for each followed by a lot of neat fun!!………….Teachers’ Day was indeed ROCKING!!!

Janmashtami Celebration- KG Section (EM)

The sweet Radhas and Kanhas of Devashish enjoyed a modern verson of Maakhan…..i.e. chocolates ….they don’t believe I destruction in any form so……the teachers turned the Matka upside down and let Chocolates rain down on them!! No Matki Foto Abhiyan done as we were skeptic about kids being hurt…….

Independence Day Celebration-GM Primary

15th August was celebrated with competition of “DESHBHAKTI SONGS” in Devashish. Children sang very nice songs and Dabhi Sir added “Sutrochar” to add “JOSH” in the students. The winners of the competition got nice prizes like Wrist Watches, Dictionaries, School Bags, Water Bags etc.
The KG Bachas made “TRIRANGA” on their chubby chicks to contribute to the Independence Day celebration.

FUN WITH TATA SKY!!! (Jr.KG & Sr.KG, EM)

The Tata sky people were here at 10 AM on the 10th Aug’10 with our babies of the pre-primary section. They played games, conducted quizzes on GK, Language, Food, Music, Sports aired on active learning, active wiz kids ………..and our wiz kids answered them beautifully. There was a lot of fun and excitement in the audio-visual room. Kids walk to their classes with beautiful diaries to scribble their world in it ………..and three scholars walked proudly with CAMERAS as their Prizes!!!(making the rest of the crowd jealous which indeed was not intended!! ) The three cameramen walk into Leena Madam’s cabin for a shoot. (CAMERAS not having rolls!!! )

Career counseling for Sec. and Higher Sec. Students- EM

Charisma Careers with a pool of experts in career counseling conducted a 2 hr. session with all the students of std. XII(COMMERCE) & X AT DEVASHISH SCHOOL.
The session comprised of playing some logical games and number games which would check their analytical bent of mind. .This was followed by a word game where in their comfort level with vocabulary and grammar was elaborated.
There was an orientation where they elaborated on different avenues which are open to the students after High School apart from the conventional choices like B Com and BBA. The choices ranged from Journalism to Advertisements to Psychology etc. They were able to inculcate in them that their choice of subject is not limited by the marks that they get in their Board exams.
At the end of the session they had conducted a 15 min Psychometric test which was instrumental in gathering the unique personalities of different students. After analyzing the result , they had a personal interaction with every child of XII Commerce (X pending) and gave them their possible career options so that they can have a head start in their careers.
Overall a very fulfilling and fruitful session with the Bright Young children of Devashish.

LT Competitions

The very awaited LT competitions were finally held!! And that too with a BANG!! 26th, 27th & 28th of July, saw LT brains challenge students of Shiv Ashish, Parents & Teachers and proved it that LT training has really added a lot in their lives.
They faced questions with confidence………..their ideas were fresh, many, deep and wonderful!! A parent remarked that “ in future do invite us for such sessions as we get to learn a lot from your students!”
A teacher of the higher secondary section said, “madam tame ek navi vichardhara valu generation taiyar karvani sari taiyari kari che!!”
The Shiv Ashish students wanted something like this even in their school.
To sum it all, the LT competitions were mind blowing……….but Minal Ma’am was missed all through the sessions as she was a chief architect of LT itself!!

Pre-primary Re-opening-Guj.Med .

K.G. Section of Gujarati Medium has had a grand reopening ……. The children have enjoyed different rides like the Horse cart, Merry-go-round etc .They had great fun on the moon walker. The loved walking home with noisy toys. In short our KG babies are enjoying their new academic year???????
