Gujarati medium primary section has welcomed 2012 in a very innovative way. Kids and teachers of the section dressed in different attire and celebrated days like Retro Day, Jeans Day, Mismatch Day, Red & Black Day, Professional Day etc etc. What a fun-filled week it was!! Bye bye 2011 Celebrations (Twins Day/Traditional Day/Tapori Day/Anti-corruption Day/Dress to Kill Day)

Dress to Kill:
I (princi mom) am really out dated!! I should have known what dress to kill means!!………….Good heavens!! What variety we can have in dressing was seen on this day!! I was indeed killed…….

Tapori Day / Back to School Day/Anti-corruption Day :
The Taporis (only on the out side…….with a wonderful within ) were found moving everywhere with all the Dadagiri until they came across Anna Hazares (from the lower classes) moving with confidence to crush all their Dadagiri.
The teachers in uniforms spreading a message of dignity in uniforms which brings along dignity in behavior was clearly noticed!!

Traditional Day:
Who says traditionality has gone…..Children of Devashish love Indianism to the core…..The traditional day celebration was once in a life time offer for all!! All the states of India on one ground……….Looked marvelous …….India indeed is diverse and beautiful!!

Twins Day

Devashishans celebrate twins day today. The beauty with which each child has tried to be a look alike of one other is mind blowing!! (sometimes 2 others as several triplets and quadruplets were also seen)

Navaratri Celebrations!! (Primary Section-GM)

Gujarati Med.-Primary Section has celebrated Navaratri with full fun and energy in the campus!! Tiny tots twinkled with bright attire and a big smile on their faces !! Excitement was felt in the air!! Pictures speak the rest!!

Teacher’s Days Celebration-2011 (EM)

As always teacher’s day in Devashish is always celebrated with a touch of difference. Every teacher was presented short poems on themselves penned down by Leena Ma’am, with not great expertise but with great love indeed. Teachers were given lucky charms after a lot of careful selection made from the gift shop by hours together by Hiral ma’am and Leena ma’am. Thanks to the teachers for loving them!!
Our staff members only are not put to work for special occasion but people out at home also help!! Ask Hiral’s husband who ran for Khana for teachers.
Sree Laksmy ma’am was declared the Best Teacher by the management after a loooong scrutiny of her work for months together. Neha ma’am was chosen the favourite teachers second time in a row on student voting for emotional discrimination .
Last but not the least, A Rocking Performance of solo dances (21 of them , Huh!!) by our children crowned the day!!
Ooops!! How could we forget Bhandari Ma’am??? For penning the most beautiful lines for Leena ma’am and showing that she has a Harivansh Ray Bachchhan side to her too!!

Hello World-2011 (Eng.Med.)

After days of – rigorous training, fun, excitement, selections, eliminations, music, noise etc etc etc……Devashish finally made a Grand Presentation at Town Hall on the 18th Feb.’11………..Did I say presentation??? Sorry, ‘presentations’ to be precise…..for, we hosted 2 shows on the same day!!!……..Super humans we are!!…………The teachers and volunteers by the end of the second show were almost dead…….But the unimaginable praise received by the audience brought them back to life………Parents called the function MIND BLOWING!! & MIND BLOWING it was!!

Rasotsav 2011 (Guj.Med.)

The Ahmedabad Haat sounded with beautiful music & wore a very dressy look on 5th Feb.’11 to celebrate Rasotsav-2011 (Guj.Med.). With the jam packed audience of 3000, Ahmedabad Haat became irresistible for the neighborhood!!…..Every single performance deserves an applaud. The hard work of everybody- students, teachers, parents & peons was clearly visible!!!

Visit to a garden (KG-EM)

The babies of the pre-primary section were taken to one of the Auda Gardens in Satellite (near Pakwan to be precise….Good heavens there are N number of Auda gardens!!)
They climbed up the bus and looked like ants crawling here and there in it………Gosh!! They’re really tiny!!
Did I say tiny??? Only in body!!…….They have energies that can surprise any giant in the galaxy!!………….We comfortably managed a traffic jam both at the time of departure and arrival with people more than glad to help us (except a gentleman with an Innova who did not seem to melt with the smile of the babies)……..
To sum it up the kids went to the garden to do all the masti….they do during the breaks for 2 long hours in the garden……..A little imp wanted to stay there for “3 din” where as most of the Nursery kids found their classrooms more attractive than the garden!!

Teacher’s Day celebration was Rocking as usual in Devashish Eng.Med.!! Every teacher was gifted with the portrait or a caricature of himself or herself with Leena Ma’am giving a murderous catch line for each followed by a lot of neat fun!!………….Teachers’ Day was indeed ROCKING!!!
